★ Private Beta

Your WordPress plugins,
honestly scored.

TrueBlueWP scans every plugin on your site and gives each one a plain-English risk badge — so you always know what's running, what's outdated, and what deserves a closer look.

Plugin risk triage for WordPress admins
TrueBlueWP runs quietly inside your WP Admin and scores every installed plugin on observable risk factors — no cloud connection, no data leaving your server.
🛡

Risk Scoring

Each plugin gets a score based on update age, repo status, activity, and known risk patterns. Worst plugin sets the site-wide badge.

🚫

Inactive Plugin Flag

Inactive plugins are a silent attack surface. TrueBlueWP flags them clearly so you can decide — keep or remove.

🔄

Update Tracking

Shows which plugins need updates now, and estimates which ones are likely due soon based on their update history.

📄

Splash Summary

Every time you log into WP Admin, a quick summary splash shows your site risk status at a glance — then gets out of your way.

What each badge means
Every plugin gets one badge. The site-wide badge always reflects the worst single plugin on your installation.
Low Risk

Low Risk

Plugin is current, active, and shows no notable risk factors. No action needed.

True Watch

Minor flags present — inactive status, slightly outdated, or not in the WP.org repo. Worth a periodic check.

Caution

Download TrueBlueWP

TrueBlueWP v0.3.5-alpha

WordPress plugin ZIP — install directly from WP Admin. Private beta build for invited testers only.

↓  Download ZIP
trueblue-wp-v0.3.5-alpha.zip  ·  WordPress 6.0+  ·  PHP 8.0+
Install in 4 steps
No developer needed. If you can log into WordPress, you can install TrueBlueWP.
1

Download the ZIP file above

Save it anywhere on your computer. Do not unzip it — WordPress needs the ZIP as-is.

💡 Keep the ZIP handy — you'll need it in the next step.
2

Go to WP Admin → Plugins → Add New

Log into your WordPress dashboard. In the left sidebar click Plugins, then Add New Plugin at the top of the page.

3

Click “Upload Plugin” and choose the ZIP

Click the Upload Plugin button near the top-left. Browse to the ZIP file you downloaded and click Install Now.

⚠  If a previous version is already installed, deactivate and delete it first.
4

Activate the plugin

After install completes, click Activate Plugin. TrueBlueWP will appear in your sidebar under TrueBlueWP. A welcome splash will appear on your next admin page load.

🛡  Look for the True Blue lion icon in the WP Admin sidebar.
Having trouble?
The splash shows once per session and once every 90 days after the "Don't show again" checkbox is used. Click TrueBlueWP → reset splash in the bottom of the plugin page to force it to reappear on your next page load.
Make sure the plugin is activated — go to Plugins → Installed Plugins and look for TrueBlueWP. If it shows "Inactive", click Activate. If it's not there at all, repeat the upload step.
TrueBlueWP requires WordPress 6.0 or higher and PHP 8.0 or higher. Check your versions under Tools → Site Health. If your host is on older versions, contact your host about upgrading PHP.
TrueBlueWP scores on observable signals like update age and repo status — not on verified security data. A badge isn't a verdict, it's a prompt to take a look. If you're confident in a plugin, note it in your feedback so we can consider adding it to the verified whitelist.
Email Jeff directly at jeff@befound.org with a screenshot and your WordPress and PHP versions (found under Tools → Site Health). This is a private beta — your feedback shapes the next build.
